Jim Coffren, a 30-year veteran in the transportation industry, and visionary of leveraging technology to produce analytical and management systems. Jim is an advisor and consultant to many areas within the transportation industry, who actively engages stake holders from the shop floor to the board room.
For 18 years, Jim worked in application engineering, Vocational equipment design, assembly, production planning, and job costing. In 2003, Jim then focused on Lean / Six Sigma and process improvement, Business Intelligence, predictive analytics, data integration via telematics and IOT. This spurred Jim’s passion for creative and novel approaches to leveraging data and data acquisition methods to improve management effectiveness of trucking companies.
As a thought leader and creator / influencer in trucking, Jim’s work can be seen throughout such things as Navistar’s Repair Advocate & Connected Vehicle Platform, PeopleNet’s MPG Guarantee Program, technology improvements in fuel economy of Class8 trucks supporting OEM performance engineering, and drive trans component engineering groups, with data integration and analytics for quality improvement, life cycle costing, maintenance cost reduction.
In recent years, Jim has actively immersed himself in Big Data management systems in architecting data warehousing and BI Platform configuration, optimizing data aggregations for business process improvement and closed-loop management systems. Always from the perspective of the consumer / VOC of the trucking company owner.
Pat Okonek is a business transformation leader who designed, developed, and implemented business solutions to transformation business functions including financial, operational, risk, and compliance across different industries. Pat has extensive experience in strategic decision making, large scale business transformations, financial system design and implementation, compliance and regulatory matters, M&A, and new business startups.
Prior to joining QuaXigma, Pat was Global Risk Manager at Molex LLC, a Koch Industries company, where he implemented data-driven solutions to transform credit risk management and global shared services operations using data, business intelligence solutions, and predictive analytics.
Pat began his career with Intel Corporation where over 32 years he held senior management roles in risk management, corporate credit, and greenfield business startups. Pat also worked at Tatum Consulting as Interim Vice President of Credit for a distribution company where he helped launch and execute the strategic finance transformation.
Pat holds an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a BS from the University of Oregon.
Mr. Rowland has more than 40 years of engineering, manufacturing, sales and strategy experience.
Most recently, Mr. Rowland was the founder and CEO of Badger Technologies, a product division of Jabil. In this role, Mr. Rowland was responsible for driving all aspect of the sales, development, delivery and service for Badger’s suite of retail offerings.
Mr. Rowland started the Badger initiative while at Lexmark with a small group of engineers as an innovation project for visibility and control within the retail environment. This effort resulted in the formation of a start up company, based in Lexington Ky, that was acquired by Jabil in 2017.
Prior to Badger Technologies, Mr. Rowland spent over 25 years at Lexmark. During his tenure, he led the development of several printer projects and also was Vice President of Industry Solution development focused on Retail and Manufacturing offerings. This effort included the integration of several acquisitions. Mr. Rowland also spent 10 years at IBM in various manufacturing test engineering, development and research roles.
Mr. Rowland is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
Yicheng Wen is the chief data scientist for QuaXigma. Dr. Wen heads the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for QuaXigma to build and implement the cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence commercial solutions to drive business transformation across different industries. Dr. Wen is a highly regarded thought leader in machine learning algorithms, optimization techniques, statistical modeling, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, deep learning, data visualization, and business intelligence.
Prior to QuaXigma, Dr. Wen headed data science for Axis Capital, leading the Axis Innovation Lab to execute the Proof of Concepts (PoC), develop and implement the state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to transform the commercial underwriting process and drive the Axis’s digital transformation vision; Global Principal Data Scientist for Allstate Roadside Services to build and deploy the advanced analytical solutions to improve company operations, digital transformation, and expand the business growth. Dr. Wen also worked as a lead data scientist for GE appliances where he was responsible to optimize the product design and service diagnostic process.
Dr. Wen holds a PhD in mechanical engineering and consecutive master’s degrees in mathematics and mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
